Despite the fact that the day isn’t over yet, Transformers 2 has already sold a predicted $16 million for its Wednesday night debut, making it the biggest Wednesday midnight opening ever. More details here, but this Michael Bay directed mess has reviewers scrambling for the cleverest cut-downs. At this point its average rating is 39/100 at Metacritic.

A great example is a review by one of our favorite people, Mike Russell for the Oregonian (review here), who enjoyed the first Transformers movie.
