In 2000 Fuji-Q Highland Park, home of the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Japan, opened Gundam: The Ride. This was a Star Tours type ride, but so much more, as the YouTube video shows. Unfortunately the ride closed in 2007. Why? I cannot imagine a good reason. What angers me more is I went to Fuji-Q…in 1999.

Japanese isn’t really necessary, and the plot seems to play out a lot like Star Tours…you and your fellow passengers are in a transport that suddenly finds itself in the middle of a battle. Lucky you have two Mobile Suit Gundams covering you. More info at Japanator.
