This has been making the rounds, but in case you have not seen it…
A group called ZREO has spent a few years recreating the music from the game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The original soundtrack is great, but hobbled by the MIDI system of the N64.
The culmination of a six year project, ZREO has reproduced the songs to sound more like a “real” orchestra played them. It sounds as though these tracks were still created electronically, using higher quality samples, vs. pure electronic tones. So while they are still not 100% realistic, this is still very cool.
You can download the entire soundtrack from their site. Enjoy!
