If you’re a Manga fan, or have listened to our podcasts, you may already know about Chris Handley, who was charged with obscenity for possession of “loli” manga titles.
According to Animevice.com, He has been sentenced to 6 months in prison, with 5 years probation. Handley will not have to register as a sex offender.

Having read the article, I am relieved to see that none of the “7 Deadly Manga” have been featured on the Manga Minute.
I am a bit concerned, though, that the US Attorney seems to equate reading large amounts of comics and playing online games as being a recipe for deviance… I may be in trouble!

This sentence really disappoints me. This is a bit frightening for anyone who is a fan of graphic (visual) media.
I can’t help but think that Handley’s plea bargain worked against him.
