If you pre-ordered your Wii Netflix disc you should have gotten it today. However, don’t follow the instructions on the screen for inputting the code to activate your Wii/Netflix account. The disc will tell you to go to www.netflix.com/wii, but this will default to the page that gets you the disc. Instead go to Netflix.com and sign in. Then click the “Instantly to your TV” button and scroll down to the Wii (it still says “Coming Soon”) and click “Find out more”. There you will find the place to input your code.

Netflix on the Wii is up and running. The interface is easier and more obvious than the PS3, but obviously the video quality is lower, as the Wii is not HD.  It is nice to be able to add and delete titles and the one push scrolling trumps the PS3, but all in all XBox wins the Netflix console wars, hands down. There is no disc to worry about for the 360, easy scrolling, high speed buffering and HD output.

I got my Wii Netflix disc in the mail…but don’t think I’ll ever use it. Since ordering the disc, I’ve picked up a Roku player for one television and a Blu-Ray player that streams Netflix for another.

Wait… I need to buy another television! That’s the answer!

I won’t ever use the wii for streaming netflix having a samsung blu-ray w/ netflix in the bedroom and Xbox in the living room.

    But

I didn’t get my disc yesterday, despite registering for it on day one.

In typical internet fashion let me say this:

THIS IS A TOTAL OUTRAGE!!! HOW DARE YOU!!! NINTENDO MAKE THIS RIGHT IMMEDIATELY!!!

Rumor has it, not everybody got the disc yesterday… if Netflix has you down as an Xbox user, you get it next week.

    I kid, I kid…
