that’s a nice little montage.
I always thought the last part of this vid with Hurley was genius.
Probably one of the most overlooked parts of the awesomeness that is Lost is how excellent the use of music has been on the show.
There have been so many times where the music has perfectly amped up the emotion of a scene, but it is never “cheap”. One thing they have always done so very well is to start a scene leading you to think one thing is going on, and sucker you in to feeling it with the music, then change it up at the last second. Ususally accompanied with a dramatic shift in the music.
And I’ve always loved how little “popular” contemporary music is used. the Michael Giacchino scoring has always been more than enough for the series.
Even if it turns out that the finale leaves a bad taste in the mouth, you simply can’t diminish how great the series has been up til now. this video certainly makes me want to go re-watch it.
