If you have been listening to our podcast, you might recall me dropping a bombshell while discussing “True Blood.”  Sci-Guy-Jim seemed shocked to learn that I hate Tara’s character so much, I actually fast forward through any scene with her in it.  Well, I can’t do that anymore.  Two words:  Franklin Mott.

Franklin Mott is one of the third season new kids on the block.  He’s a certifiably crazy vampire in the employ of the King of Mississippi.  And he happens to be in love with Tara.  So every scene that has Tara, has some more of Mott’s over-the-top vampire badness to make me want to watch.

I admit when I am wrong.  And as long as Mott is around, I’ll watch Tara’s scenes.  My hat is off to actor James Frain for injecting some crazy life (unlife?) into the show.

Who is your favorite Season 3 True Blood newcomer?  Mott?  Alcide?  Sam’s white-trash family?
