For some reason there were just too many interesting links to post today (and one of them is not that fake broker quitter, “Jenny”).
Drinks and video games go hand in hand like… well, they don’t really go hand in hand, though I don’t recommend drinking and going to PS3 Home, unless you want to feel like a freshman sorority girl during “Rush Week”. But leave it to Japanese video game makers and beverage producers to get together and make Dragon Quest “Torotoro” Slime drinks.
Don’t worry about flying to Japan to pick up this poorly reviewed slime. Click here to find yours.
What happens when you take the most nauseating Internet meme and mash it with two of the most beloved ladies in gaming history?
That’s right, what made bi-curious 20-somethings fall for their friends setting up a video camera and SomethingRotten.com has turned into two generous princesses sharing Super Mario Land’s greatest reward…the much loved 1-Up mushroom.
This is available as a t-shirt from Shark Robot.
Now if a t-shirt just isn’t enough to show your love, and you have a nice big blank space, please check out what is up at What is Blik. This is the wall decal capitol of the online world. Many different classics are represented, from Pong and Space Invaders to titles that have come out in recent years.
Here are a couple of thier more impressive examples.
And finally tonight, I learned from my brief time in Japan never believe someone who tells you they are a member of the yakuza, but this review of Yakuza 3 is apparently done by actual members of the Japanese mafia. I’ll let you be the judge. (By the way I also learned it isn’t a good idea to drink Asahi Super Dry out of a salad bowl, but that’s a story for another day.)

Maybe I’m old school in the video game department… but that Donkey Kong wall decal kicks ass!

I agree, Mike…I am measuring if the ceilings are tall enough in the studio…
