   It is fake in that the commercial was made recently, not in the 1970s, but the toy is real…real expensive. I believe it debuted last year at ComicCon for $299.00

   I agree with Sci-Guy-John on this one… check out the end of the commercial where it shows a 2010 copyright. It certainly has some 70s retro feel, though.
