Hard to believe, but Portland’s own Stumptown Comics Fest is just around the corner.  If you live in the Pacific Northwest, mark your calendar for April 16th and 17th if you want to meet some of the hottest talent around in the field of independent comics. 

New for 2011 is a jury panel tasked with awarding the Stumptown Comic Arts Awards.  The panel was unveiled to the public today at the official site.  For some reason, none of the Sci-Guys made the final cut.  Awards will be given in categories like Best Artist, Best Writer, Best New Talent, Best New Press… check the website for the complete list.

The Fest has a new venue this year, too.  The event has grown large enough to take advantage of the Oregon Convention Center.  Registration has closed for the 2011 event, but tickets are always available at the door!  Look for the guys in the Sci-Guys shirts if you go and say “hi!”
