I am still upset about “Guess the Year” results.

Thanks for the kind words.
What made you guess wrong on the “Guess the Year”, Mike? Hope you all felt the segment went well anyway. I found it a bit difficult picking certain stuff because I didn’t know if it’s of interest to you (the music section especially) and I wanted it to have a mixture of difficulty. Great year for sci-fi movies though, wasn’t it?

For some reason, Knight Rider really took me to 1983. And I remember reading 2010 when it came out and 1983 sounded good. So I locked in at 1983, and then remembered almost immediately that Knight Rider was a year earlier…1982. It was just more and more painful as the clues kept coming… the movies put the nails in the coffin.

Dammit Jim, you know what you’ve done now don’t you? I’m gonna be spending the next two hours watching old intros from 1980s TV shows. Surely the highest ratio of ‘great intro’:'crap show’ in history.
There’s even a sub-genre of people recutting old TV intros using Star Wars footage. Behold.

Do you *ever* actually edit parts out? Because you say it a lot and I’m curious if it’s a running joke or if there’s an actual cutting room floor. ^_^

lore, we pretty much do the show live, the same way we did it live on the radio a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away. So the answer is no, we don’t do really editing of any kind.
And the “jokes” about editing go back to those live radio shows as well.
