I’m the same. It looks really impressive at a technical level, and I think when the price tag has dropped a bit I might be tempted (assuming my PC can run it — it’s coming out on the PC right?) but I think they’ve reached such a high level with the actual gameplay that these games are only really differentiated by more artistic aspects like level design, so it’s not really showing me anything new. Might as well be a fresh set of levels for the first Modern Warfare.
Of course, actually playing games is sometimes a vastly different experience from watching someone else play it.
After the release of Black Op’s, the Call of Duty Franchise seems like it might have lost
a lot of it’s steam. Granted they release Zombies, which is apparently an xbox live hit.
In contrast I’ve been watching BattleField 3 with an eager eye. Aside from the graphics (which are as near realistic as you can probably get in games nowadays), the live action seems to be right on point and something NEW.
But after watching this trailer I have to say…this new call of duty story line looks a lot more enticing than that of BattleField 3.
I think we’ve gotten tired of the whole middle east war game scenarios. With that being said… If they can make this new modern warfare’s story line something “different” I think it stands a chance in Resurrecting it’s name.
Granted…most 1st person shooters longevity relies pretty heavily on its online play, so we’ll see.
I am extremely impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it is rare to see a nice blog like this one these days..
