So these warp ratings… A seven seems pretty high for a movie that you spent a lot of time talking about how “meh” it was.
Unless of course it’s a logarithmic scale, like the actual Star Trek warp speeds. :-)

Christoph, I think that is a pretty fair assessment.
To me, 7 is a grade of a C (as in 70%). Not great, but passing. 6 is barely recommendable. I certainly flirted with that 6 for this one.
I think for people who listen to our podcast, we do recommend seeing it, and it wasn’t “Transformers 2″ terrible. We trashed it because it could have been (maybe SHOULD have been) much better. Which made it’s flaws so much more aggravating, and as such made us focus on them more than the strengths.
We probably should really sit down and define our warp ratings. In theory we originally planed them as an homage to Star Trek, but in reality we treat very differently.

The letter grades definitely make sense. Anything less than a B I would wait until DVD to see.
Really like the show, btw.

Good episode! I liked the news discussion, it seemed different somehow. I have to agree with Jim’s wife on Spiderman – it was so well done, but so was the Raimi and I just want to get to NEW story!
