We had this on the site before, but this update seems to give us some final closure on the efforts to make Admiral Ackbar the mascot for the University of Mississippi Rebels.  He would have went well with recent University of Oregon transfer Jeremiah Masoli on the football team.

The students of the University of Mississippi are getting some attention these days. Their school mascot was the white mustached Colonel Reb, but they voted to rise in the ranks and elect Admiral Ackbar as their new school mascot. The outdated Col.
